Taste of local life tour in Yangon (Day Tour)

In the morning , the guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel . Then drive to Yangon Tea house ,one of the most notable places offering traditional and newly blended tea . Tea house is a worth visiting place which is an elegant blend of classic and modern Burmese culture . And try the Myanmar Traditional food called Mohinga .Mohinga is a rice noodle and fish soup from Myanmar and is an  essential part of Burmese cuisine .

Then drive to jetty to visit Dalla . Dala is a small village across the river from Yangon . This village is a 10-minutes ferry ride away from Pansodan Pier in downtown Yangon. The ferry was like a mini floating market and had a lot of interesting sights. Many Locals brought their bicycles on board and some of them got their little shops too . In this brief ferry ride , you can see many people (mostly women) selling different things – clothes, cigarettes, combs , mirrors , bird eggs, fresh fruit and so much more. While you arrive to Dala, you can take a trishaw and observe the local candle making workshop . After sightseeing go back to Pansoedan jetty .

After back to Yangon , your guide and driver will take you to the restaurant called Danu Phyu Daw Saw Yee for the lunch . This traditional shophouse restaurant is a long-running and consistent choice for decent Burmese food downtown with the various curries are tasty and all dishes are served with sides of soup. Then transfer to your staying hotel for the rest.

In the evening The tour to embark a Yangon city takes you to Sule Pagoda – the heart of the city surrounded by several old but significant colonial-style buildings which showed the extensive European influence on Myanmar history and culture. Independence Monument, is located inside the garden. The obelisk was constructed to memorialize Myanmar’s independence. The garden offers a good view of City Hall and other colonial buildings.

Then start the street food tour around in China town because some of the best street food in Yangon can be found in Chinatown . Complete your day in Myanmar with an extended visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments, the Shwedagon Pagoda.
